Job description

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


The Systems Engineer is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses, developing system documentation, and providing system evaluation and test support. The role involves developing and evaluating systems, development plans, and supporting documentation to ensure designs meet stakeholder needs and applicable industry standards and governmental requirements. The Systems Engineer supports the generation of technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle and influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems.

As an Advanced Systems Engineer for the Torpedo Systems Group, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development of torpedo guidance and controls solutions. The systems engineering is responsible for requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system architecture and design, performing detailed trade studies, and validation and interface definition studies of system, subsystem or system elements.
