Description:

Upstate Community Medical, PC is seeking an experienced and motivated OB/GYN Sonographer to join our growing OB/GYN ambulatory practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered outpatient setting within an academic medical center environment affiliated with Upstate University Hospital.

The OBGYN Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for obstetric and gynecologic patients in our outpatient OBGYN clinical setting. This position requires advanced skill in comprehensive 20-week anatomy scans, as well as proficiency across the full spectrum of OBGYN ultrasound services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds.

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in 20-week fetal anatomy scans, including routine images and identification of normal and abnormal findings.

  • Obtain and document diagnostic quality images for provider interpretation.

  • Assist providers with ultrasound procedures as needed.

  • Collaborate with OBGYN physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and clinical staff.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.

  • Accurately document findings and maintain imaging records in accordance with practice guidelines.

  • Adhere to established protocols, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • This full-time position is ideal for a highly motivated sonographer with a strong background in women’s health imaging.

  • Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.

  • Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registration in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in 20-week fetal anatomy scans with the ability to perform complete diagnostic exams independently.

  • BLS Certified.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of OBGYN ultrasound experience required.
