Position Overview
We are excited to invite a committed and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to become a part of our Pulmonary team in an outpatient-only environment. This position emphasizes delivering exceptional, patient-focused care in collaboration with our Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians, ensuring continuity for patients dealing with various respiratory issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver thorough outpatient care for pulmonary patients, encompassing evaluation, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic respiratory ailments.
- Work closely with Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians to oversee shared patient panels.
- Conduct follow-up appointments, manage medications, and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Facilitate care coordination across different specialties, including referrals, testing, and procedures.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Analyze diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function assessments, imaging studies, and laboratory results.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.

- Focused entirely on outpatient pulmonary care.
- No inpatient duties required.
- Collaborate with a supportive team of Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians.

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Board certification (or eligibility) is required.
- Active or eligible for licensure in Iowa.
- Experience in pulmonary, critical care, or internal medicine is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork abilities are essential.

- Full-time position with a weekday schedule.
- No night shifts, weekends, or on-call duties.
