As an Advanced Planning Consultant, you will provide expert case consultation and strategic planning support to agents and management teams within the Pacific Zone. You will specialize in advanced planning areas such as estate, business, charitable, and retirement strategies, helping agents design customized solutions that align with clients' financial goals and lead to successful life insurance sales.
** The role covers the General Offices in the Pacific Zone and could include offices in Central CA, East Bay, Greater Sanfrancisco, Northern California, Reno. The ideal candidate will reside within the territory. **
What You'll Do:
  • Partner with agents and general office leadership to deliver one-on-one case consultations, helping design and implement advanced planning strategies involving estate, charitable, transnational, business, and retirement planning.
  • Provide responsive, professional support via in-person meetings, Zoom, and phone consultations to agents, Sales Development Managers, Product Consultants, and field management
  • Serve as a technical expert on tax, legal, and financial aspects of advanced planning concepts, offering actionable insights that connect directly to product solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to develop and promote advanced markets initiatives that drive sales of life insurance products.
  • Create clear, compelling marketing, training, and educational materials for agents, clients, and their professional advisors (e.g., attorneys, CPAs).
  • Represent the Advanced Planning Group as a trusted resource within the General Office and ensure high-quality field support across the assigned territory.

What You'll Bring:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) strongly preferred, with a strong foundation in estate and tax law preferred.
  • Life insurance / industry sales support experience a plus.
  • Deep expertise in advanced planning topics, including estate, business succession, charitable giving, and retirement income strategies.
  • Proven ability to present complex legal and financial concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner that drives sales results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation abilities, and a consultative approach to working with agents and clients.
  • Demonstrated strength in relationship management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% within the Pacific Zone.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: 125,000 - 140,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: No
Sales bonus eligible: Yes
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
