The Paramedic is responsible for delivering advanced emergency and non-emergency medical care and support. This role involves assessing patients' conditions, performing advanced life support interventions, and administering medications as needed during transport. Job Description:
  • Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured.

  • Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies as well as paramedic scope of practice.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure by the Kentucky Board of EMS
  • Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator's License
  • Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
  • Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certifications (PALS) through the American Heart Association. This may be acquired within 90 days of employment.
  • Valid Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association
  • Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS
