Scheurer Primary Care

Advanced Practitioner

Part Time – 48 hours/pay

Scheurer is seeking a part-time Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA) to work at our Scheurer Primary Care Walkin-Pigeon/Bad Axe offices with a potential for a full-time position.

The Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for:

  • Examining and treating patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals.
  • Ensures proper illness diagnosis and injury care is administered, as well as disease prevention, education, and recovery.
  • Prescribes medications to patients as indicated.
  • Working with the supervising practitioner and clinic staff
  • Coordinates the care of patients and facilitates efficient and effective movement through the health care system.
  • Proficient use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Job Requirements:

  • Individual will be a graduate of an accredited program.
  • Certified by a national board examination and licensed in the State of Michigan.
  • Must hold both BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Must be eligible or have obtained a DEA number for prescriptive authority in Michigan.
