(Paid out at 4 and 9 months of employment)

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is opening a state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility in Mendota Heights-and we're looking for an Automation Maintenance Technician who wants to be part of something from day one.
This isn't just another maintenance role. It's a rare opportunity to help shape how maintenance systems, standards, and reliability programs are built in a brand-new, high-tech plant. If you enjoy solving complex automation challenges and working with advanced equipment, this is your moment.
Who We Are
CPP is a 100+ year aerospace manufacturing leader trusted by commercial, regional, corporate, and military aircraft manufacturers worldwide. We produce precision aluminum and magnesium components that support critical flight systems-and we're investing in the next generation of manufacturing right here in Mendota Heights.
Innovation is part of our history. This new facility is part of our future-and you can help build it.
What You'll Do
As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping our advanced manufacturing systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably from the very start.
In this role, you will:
  • Support a safe, high-performance workplace by following safety and environmental standards
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across automated equipment
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize uptime
  • Document maintenance activity within our CMMS system
  • Help establish and maintain a critical spare-parts inventory strategy
  • Support startup activities, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Expand your skills through ongoing training, certifications, and exposure to advanced automation technologies

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, highly technical, and part of building something new from the ground up.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
We're looking for technicians who are curious, collaborative, and energized by modern automation environments.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Technology, Electronics, Millwright, or Instrumentation & Controls (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs (especially Allen-Bradley systems)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
  • Comfort working with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • A proactive mindset and desire to help shape maintenance systems in a new facility
What We Offer
Hourly Pay: $36.00 - $42.00 (DOE)
Bonus: Up to 5% quarterly bonus potential
  • Educational assistance and paid training
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
