Valencia, CA - Hybrid
Research Audiologist
Research Audiologists in the Clinical Product Research department are highly motivated and skilled Audiologists, responsible for managing and executing clinical evaluations of pre-market Advanced Bionics (AB) products. As a Clinical Product Research team member, you will play a crucial role in advancing our new-to-world cochlear implant technology through audiological evaluations, problem solving, and collaboration with interdisciplinary project teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation products that enhance the lives of individuals with hearing impairment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute clinical feasibility studies for AB external hardware, software, and mobile apps, including protocol development and study visit participation.
  • Prepare technical documentation (e.g., protocols, validation and trial reports) to support Class-III human subject study activities independently.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D, QA, and Regulatory teams to align clinical evaluations with product requirements and provide audiological expertise.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer from development teams to training staff, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards and supporting product launch readiness.

Travelling Requirement: Occasional travel (5%) to national conferences, cochlear implant centers, and Advanced Bionics corporate events.

Education
  • Advanced degree in Audiology

Nice to Have
  • Audiology Research, Hearing Science , or related fields.

Work Experience
  • 2 years of experience in clinical audiology and cochlear implant fittings.

Nice to Have
  • Previous research experience, hearing aid fittings and/or objective measures and current Advanced Bionics and/or Sonova technology.

Language(s)/ Level
  • English/ Proficient

IT Skills
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office Applications. Basic knowledge of CI fitting software.

Nice to Have
  • Enjoys the opportunity to quickly learn and navigate a variety of new software platforms and applications.

Further Requirements
  • Have, or the ability to obtain, a California Audiology License.

Nice to Have
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)

This role's pay range is between $79,200/yr - $118,800yr (based on location). This role is also eligible for bonus.
