Official Title: Afterschool Program Coordinator
CPI Code: 497
Department: Afterschool Programs
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Director of Afterschool Programs
Evaluation: GLEI
Summary Description of Classification: Responsible for leadership in planning and delivery of services to assigned afterschool and community education programs
Minimum Qualification Standards
Essential Duties and Responsibiliües:
1. Interface with partners and the Program Evaluator as liaison with school system and each individual progam to facilitate a searnless service delivery.
2. Coordinate academic, recreational and community activities with each site manager including, but not limited to, site schedules/activities, field trips, parent meetings, open houses and activities with each partner.
3. Coordinate review of the benchmarks to determine project success and keep site staff updated on progess made and needs of progam.
4. Assist in the evaluation component by overseeing the timely collection of evaluation data as defined by the independent evaluator and other stakeholders.
5. Assist with the hiring of site staff and evaluating of site staff annually.
6. Ensure timely submission of appropriate payroll documentation as published annually by the Accounting department.
7. Assist with all staff and volunteer training sessions.
8. Attend all afterschool progam meetings and events.
9. Submit required documentation and requests as requested by the Director.
10. Any other duties as assigned by the Director.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
1. Must have a profound concern for the educational achievement of children and a high understanding of how children and adults learn.
2. Must possess a high degree of leadership ability and/or supervisory experience.
3. Must possess computer and associated technology skills.
4. Must have experience in project development, management and implementation.
5. Must have experience working with and knowledge of community resources.
Education, Training and Experience: Preferred
1. Master's Degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or a related field preferred.
2. Five (5) years of experience in public education, non-profit management or social work.
3. Classroom and leadership experience preferred.

Physical Demands: Tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
