Are you passionate about trauma education and advancing clinical excellence?
ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Trauma Education Program Coordinator. In this role, you will lead and coordinate trauma-focused educational programs that support the development of nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members across the organization. You will oversee nationally recognized trauma education courses, ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, develop and mentor instructors, and drive continuous improvement in trauma education outcomes.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence clinical practice, promote evidence-based education, and support ChristianaCare's commitment to exceptional trauma care.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate trauma education course offerings, including planning, scheduling, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up activities.
  • Administer and support Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and other approved educational programs.
  • Ensure educational programs comply with organizational policies, accreditation standards, national guidelines, and course-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records related to course activities, instructor qualifications, learner participation, compliance monitoring, and program outcomes.
  • Verify faculty credentials, instructor-to-learner ratios, class size requirements, and equipment standards to ensure educational quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor changes in trauma education standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices, incorporating updates into educational programming.
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate instructors and faculty to support program excellence and learner success.
  • Conduct instructor monitoring and performance evaluations to promote consistency, quality, and adherence to educational standards.
  • Serve as course faculty, course director, and instructor as appropriate.
  • Apply evidence-based nursing and educational principles to curriculum development and program delivery.
  • Evaluate educational outcomes and identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness, learner engagement, and clinical impact.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, educators, trauma program leaders, and interdisciplinary stakeholders to advance trauma education initiatives.
  • Support professional development and the dissemination of trauma and emergency nursing knowledge through presentations, publications, and educational activities.

Position Scope
The Trauma Education Program Coordinator provides oversight and coordination of trauma education activities across ChristianaCare Trauma Programs. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, instructor competency validation, program operations, educational quality improvement, and documentation oversight.
As the primary organizational resource for trauma education program administration, this individual collaborates closely with trauma and emergency medicine leadership, nursing and physician faculty, educators, administrative teams, and learners throughout the organization.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current Delaware Registered Nurse license or eligibility through a compact state.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications. TNCC Instructor Certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma nursing, professional nursing standards, and adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, educational technology platforms, and electronic systems.

This is a full-time exempt position with a Monday - Friday day shift schedule.
Annual Compensation Range $85,862.40 - $137,384.00
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
