Job description

Day Shift Direct Support Professional
Lenoir City, TN

Day Shift Direct Support Professional to work in a residential home in Lenoir City supporting four adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Schedule
This position follows a two week rotating day shift schedule from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Week A
Monday, Tuesday, Friday

Week B
Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

About the Role
Day shift staff provide hands on support throughout the day including personal care, daily routines, meals, activities, and community involvement as appropriate. This is an active position that requires consistent engagement and physical assistance.

Important Expectations
We are very upfront about the physical and personal care requirements of this role so applicants can make an informed decision.

• Individuals require full assistance with toileting and hygiene
• Some individuals wear briefs or adult diapers and require changing
• Assistance with wiping after toileting is required
• Some individuals have limited mobility and need help with transfers
• The role involves physical activity including lifting, tugging, and pulling
• This position is not a good fit for someone with back issues or lifting restrictions

Additional Requirements
• Ability to remain attentive and engaged throughout the shift
• Pre employment drug screening is required
• CBD products can cause a failed drug test even if legally purchased

Work Environment
This is a small residential home setting focused on safety, dignity, and consistent support. You will work as part of a team and receive training to meet the needs of the individuals supported.
