Job description

Lead our Adult Day Services program in Arlington Heights, IL. $72,000–$105,000/year depending on license (LPN or RN), full-time, exempt. Oversee nursing care, staff, and daily operations for a program serving approximately 47 members.

Lutheran Life Communities has served aging adults in the Chicago area since 1892. Our Adult Day Services program at Cherished Place gives members a safe, engaged place to spend their day while supporting family caregivers at home.

What You'll Do

  • Provide nursing oversight for the Adult Day Services program, including medication administration and treatment plans
  • Evaluate members' medical, social, psychological, and rehabilitative needs and goals
  • Obtain and transcribe physician orders, and communicate with families about care and treatment plans
  • Lead, schedule, and support the Adult Day Services care team, including approving timecards and PTO and providing performance feedback
  • Ensure staffing and documentation meet state and federal regulations
  • Monitor the program budget and handle billing to LHSA
  • Resolve family and staff concerns as they come up

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Active Illinois LPN or RN license
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college
  • 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with people from a range of backgrounds

Preferred:

  • Experience in geriatrics
  • Experience with the Illinois Department on Aging Community Care Program
