Job description

Golden Pond Adult Day Program is seeking a part-time driver to work 5 hours a day Monday- Friday. This will be a split shift from approximately 7 am - 9:30 am and again from 3 pm - 5:30 pm daily.

Drivers are responsible for the following:

· Safely transporting our clients from their homes to the facility, and from the facility back home, every morning and afternoon, Monday - Friday.

· Escorting our participants to and from our vehicles

· Logging of the time of each trip, as well as the specific clients picked up and dropped off at the center. In addition, the driver is responsible for

· Adhering to established state and center safety measures while transporting participants

· Reporting unusual incidents that take place during transport to appropriate day care staff

· Daily safety check of vehicles

· Maintaining a clean vehicle interior

· Handling emergencies while transporting participants until emergency assistance arrives

· Maintaining a good rapport with participants, families, and caregivers

The proper candidate must have a good driving record, be able to operate mini buses with wheelchair lifts, be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test, have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
