Job description

Vector Talent Solutions is a veteran-owned workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations identify, attract, and hire top talent. We are currently seeking a Benefits & Leave Administrator for a client in the material handling solutions industry.

The Benefits & Leave Administrator will oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, corporate insurance coverage, and leave-of-absence processes. This role serves as a key liaison among employees, leadership, insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators while ensuring accurate, timely, compliant, and employee-focused support.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, enrollments, eligibility, and payroll deductions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit inquiries, issue resolution, open enrollment communications, and benefits education.
  • Maintain compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and company policies.
  • Administer employee leave programs, track leave usage and return-to-work dates, manage required documentation, and coordinate with third-party leave administrators.
  • Support the ADA interactive process and partner with HR leadership and department management to identify and implement reasonable accommodations.
  • Manage corporate insurance programs and claims, including workers' compensation, general liability, policy renewals, coverage reviews, and cost-containment efforts.
  • Process and reconcile benefits and insurance invoices; partner with Payroll and Finance on deductions, vendor payments, reporting, audits, budget tracking, and annual planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience administering employee benefits, leave of absence programs, and/or corporate insurance programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and applicable state leave regulations.
  • Experience managing open enrollment, benefit enrollments, employee communications, vendor relationships, and third-party administrators.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, preferably ADP Workforce Now, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, discretion, and ability to maintain confidential employee and medical information.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support employees and collaborate across departments.
