Adobe AEM Technical Architect  100% Remote
We are looking for a Senior Adobe AEM Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable digital experience solutions for a retail/eCommerce platform.
This role is centered on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM), with strong focus on building high-performance, omnichannel retail customer experiences and integrating AEM with enterprise commerce and marketing systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define end-to-end architecture for AEM-based retail platforms (AEM Sites and AEM Assets/DAM)
  • Design scalable, high-performance digital experiences for retail/eCommerce use cases (product discovery, promotions, personalization)
  • Architect and optimize Digital Asset Management (DAM) for product content, campaign assets, and merchandising workflows
  • Lead integration architecture between AEM and enterprise systems such as eCommerce platforms (SAP Commerce / Salesforce Commerce / Adobe Commerce or similar), PIM, OMS, CRM systems
  • Design API-first and microservices-based architecture for content and commerce integration
  • Define AEM best practices (components, templates, workflows, OSGi services)
  • Optimize performance (dispatcher configuration, CDN strategies, caching)
  • Lead technical design discussions and architecture governance
  • Work with Adobe Experience Cloud tools such as Analytics and Target for personalization and insights (as applicable)
  • Support AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) adoption and migration strategies
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10and years of IT experience, including 5and years in Adobe AEM architecture
  • Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x and/or AEM as a Cloud Service)
  • Strong experience in retail or eCommerce digital platforms
  • Deep expertise in AEM Sites and AEM Assets (DAM)
  • Strong understanding of content management, metadata, and asset lifecycle in DAM systems
  • Experience integrating AEM with enterprise systems (eCommerce, PIM, CRM, OMS)
  • Strong Java/J2EE and REST API development background
  • Experience with microservices and API-first architecture
  • Strong understanding of AEM dispatcher, caching, and performance tuning
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Maven, and Agile delivery environments
Preferred Skills
  • AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) migration experience
  • Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target exposure
  • Experience with headless CMS or SPA frameworks (React/Angular)
  • Adobe certifications (AEM Architect / Developer)
  • Experience in large-scale retail digital transformation programs
