The UPS Store in Westwood is seeking a versatile individual to fill the combined role of Graphic Designer and Retail Associate. This position involves both creative design work and customer service responsibilities, making it ideal for candidates who have experience in graphic design and a passion for assisting customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design:

  • Create and produce visual designs for various products, including business cards, brochures, flyers, and signage.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and offer creative solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and maintain quality standards in all design projects.
  • Prepare files for print production and ensure accuracy in final outputs.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required.
  • Previous experience in graphic design and retail or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.

Retail Associate:

  • Greet and assist customers with their shipping, printing, and service inquiries.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle transactions accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized retail space to enhance customer experience.
  • Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and other store operations as needed.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome customers. Thank them for their patience while other guests are being helped.
  • Ask questions to understand what the customer needs to achieve during their visit.
  • Display product knowledge by educating guests on the best solution for their needs.
  • Create shipping labels for domestic and international shipments via multiple carrier options.
  • Follow packaging guidelines to ensure all outbound packages are safe for transport.
  • Sort mail and package deliveries for Postal Mailbox Holders.
  • Use the computer to print various documents for guests.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly.
  • Uphold Retail Readiness by ensuring the center is clean and fully stocked during business hours.
  • Perform end-of-day duties: reconciliation of cash, checks, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy and procedure.

Other Skills and Requirements

  • Previous print shop experience a plus
  • Knowledge of fiery software
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Flexible availability Monday – Saturday with some Sundays.
  • Manual hand dexterity required to operate POS, copiers and binding machinery, packaging tools, and complete customer paperwork.
  • Capable of becoming a licensed notary in the state.
