Job description

The Admissions Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Admissions Manager in overseeing the Admissions staff. This position will assist with training of all Admissions staff. This position will be accountable for aiding the Admissions Manager in enforcing all policies and procedures. The Admissions Supervisor will help ensure employees are friendly, approachable, and provide excellent customer service to Fair guests and to assure guests have a quality and enjoyable experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will assist the Admissions Manager with departments staffing plan and daily staffing schedules to support budgetary goals, including scheduling for all Admissions Gates, as well as executing onsite operating adjustments in response to the needs of guests and the operation
  • Supervise the efficiency of all ticket sales and transaction processing
  • Will assist with resolving computer issues
  • Will assist with Pre-Fair set up
  • Will assist with the hiring of Admissions staff
  • Assist the Admissions Manager with calculating the hourly attendance of guests
  • Will assist with the monitoring of time sheets and hours worked for the Admissions Staff
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Must be flexible, proactive, detail oriented, and motivated
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to deal professionally and effectively with all types of people

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
  • Requires a valid California drivers license and a clean driving record
  • Must have reliable private transportation
  • Must be able to drive a golf cart
  • Must be able to work overtime, when asked
  • Must be able to move around the grounds and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Must be able to operate a computer, type, and operate a calculator
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
