Job description:

Southwest Truck Driver Training (SWTDT) is a strong, family-owned business with campuses in Tucson and Phoenix, now proudly operated by the second generation of the founding family. For over 25 years, SWTDT has continuously improved its curriculum and programs to meet evolving industry needs. Our students train in modern equipment using multiple transmissions, loaded and unloaded dry van and flatbed trailers. All range training and CDL testing are conducted on-site, making SWTDT a true school-to-work facility.

The role of Admission Representative has the following accountabilities:

  • Welcomes students by actively participating in all steps of the enrollment process (required paperwork, qualifications, campus tours, and obtaining schedules)
  • Meets/Exceed all goals related to student enrollment, referrals, and daily activity metrics.
  • Provides accurate information relative to the program
  • Enroll students in compliance with Admissions policies and procedures
  • Utilize good use of time by making all required phone calls, follow-ups, generating referrals and other daily activities in pursuit of departmental objectives
  • Provides feedback to department managers on how to improve the overall quality and efficiency of the admissions department
  • Assist the Campus Director with marketing and sales strategies
  • Represent the school in career fairs, job fairs, and other similar activities
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Explore options for scholarships or other tuition funding from agencies as appropriate
  • Maintaining correspondence with applicants and appropriate records and files
  • Participate in networking opportunities to promote SWTDT programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Campus Director or VP of Administration.

Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years sales experience required
  • The Admissions Representative should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Professional, upbeat, articulate, and a team player
  • Be comfortable with a pay structure that is hourly plus commission
  • Must be able to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor and represent the company in a professional manner with all customers, personnel, vendors, and students
  • The Admissions Representative must be able to use a personal computer and other office equipment and work in an environment that can be fast paced

Work Hours: Typically, 8:00-5:00, with one weekday scheduled 10:00-7:00 and one Saturday per month from 8-12. Additional times may be required.
