Admissions Representative - Lakeland, FL
 
Location: Lakeland, FL (100% On-Site; work-from-home not available)
 
Excelon Associates is conducting a search on behalf of a private university client for an Admissions Representative. This role is responsible for all recruiting functions and for promoting the institution as a school of choice to interested candidates. The Representative also generates prospective inquiries by attending various events and ensuring candidates are properly informed about courses and options. This opening is tied to a pending new training class starting in Fall 2026.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interview prospective students to determine interest in attending the institution
  • Contact prospective students by phone, voicemail, text, and email
  • Use multiple technologies to communicate with prospective students
  • Determine whether prospective students have the desire and qualifications to attend
  • Meet or exceed conversion standards for Admissions
  • Organize and manage assigned leads generated through multiple sources
  • Communicate all details related to each student's program of interest
  • Keep accurate records of calls made, interviews conducted, and enrollments generated
  • Recommend qualified prospective students for admission
  • Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the enrollment process
  • Request, track, and accurately document receipt of high school diplomas and GED transcripts
  • Work with the Registrar to determine whether prospective students meet qualifications to attend
Minimum Requirements
  • Completed Associate's degree or higher
  • All degrees must be from institutions accredited by regional or national accrediting bodies approved by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Foreign transcripts may be acceptable in some cases and require translation and an equivalency evaluation by a recognized agency
  • Experience working in a metrics-driven or customer service environment
  • Ability to thrive as a team player in a fast-paced, high-energy call center environment
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to meet business objectives
