Job description

The Memphis VA Medical Center has an opening for a Chief of Radiology with a dual academic appointment with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). The position reports directly to the Chief of Staff and is responsible for the administration, management, and leadership of the entire Diagnostic Imaging Department. This position periodically serves as an extension of the Chief of Staff and serves as a backup in the absence.

The Medical Center consists of one main campus and ten community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs). It s a 1a complexity tertiary care VA healthcare system located in one of the fastest growing Veteran population regions in the United States. The facility provides comprehensive care to over 47,000 Veterans in a 52-county area of Western Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, Eastern Arkansas, and parts of Missouri and Kentucky. The medical center includes 236 inpatient beds with a 26-bed Spinal Cord Injury Unit. It is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology, as well as extensive education and research programs.
