Radiance is searching for an experienced Systems Administrator Lead to provide support to critical computer systems and network infrastructure at the corporate facility. The qualified candidate will provide design, maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement support for the architecture in a classified environment; ensure compliance with applicable information assurance requirements; ensure 24/7 continuity of operations; and create and update relevant system documents. Work hours are normal business hours, however, occasional support during non-business hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily, on-site, support for the operations and maintenance of systems across multiple classification level environments as needed.
  • Provide mentorship to junior System Administrators.
  • Overseeing the technical implementation posture of the information system for the assigned location, in accordance with information assurance compliance requirements.
  • Manages the Information Assurance IT personnel such as System Administrators and oversees tasking.
  • Aid in the establishment of hardware and software standards.
  • Assist in developing and automating technical solutions.
  • Reviews compliance documents such as policies, procedures, etc. to ensure IA corporate directives are met and technical compliance requirements are enforced.
  • Engage with management on performance planning, technical matters, and serves as POC for technical issue root cause analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining and documenting technical standards.
  • Disseminate IA documentation, policies, and procedures as required.

Required Experience

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a System Administrator performing the patching, installation, configuration, maintenance, and flaw remediation of servers, workstations, and other computer components in accordance with all applicable STIGs on a classified network.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interface with numerous cognizant security agencies, customers, and senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and managing multiple networks in a dynamic, demanding air-gapped classified environment.
  • Working knowledge of WAN/LAN, to include Cisco-based routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Work with software development groups to setup and maintain standalone and centralized Linux applications such as Matlab, Python-based applications, GitLab, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in User account and access control management (Active Directory, LDAP, User Access Control) in a domain or stand-alone environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with integrating Linux workstations and servers with Windows Active Directory.
  • Experience with configuring and executing SIEM tools (e.g. Splunk, ELK), vulnerability management tools (Tenable Nessus), Network Storage devices (e.g. NetApp, Synology, etc.), monitoring tools (e.g. Wireshark, Snort, PRTG, etc.), and compliance tools (e.g. SCAP, SCC Tool, OpenSCAP, etc.).
  • Experience with providing backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space.
  • Experience with log aggregation technologies allowing for the collection and filtering of Linux syslog and audit trails.
  • Experience with desktop and server virtualization using VMWare vSphere and EXSI.
  • Ability to gain comprehension of new technologies to assist with new requirement implementation efforts.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of a valid Secret clearance with in-scope background investigation date.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a Top-Secret SCI background check and be able to pass a Counter-intelligence polygraph.
  • DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification.

(e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience leading System Administrators at an organization of similar size and complexity.
  • Understanding of network concepts and Type 1 encryption devices, such as TACLANE.
  • Experience configuring and securing network equipment (switches and firewalls).
  • Basic knowledge of Risk Management Framework such as DAAPM, JSIG, and NIST/DFARS compliance security controls requirements and how they impact the IT configuration requirements for Windows and Linux systems.
  • Capable of scripting or programming to automate tasks.
  • Background in utilizing Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, and other Linux orchestration tools.
  • Current Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or other advanced Linux systems administrator certifications.
