Job description

The Case Administrator manages the progression of cases andrelated adversary proceedings from opening to final disposition byprocessing incoming documents, maintaining official case files,dockets and other records, and performing noticing, administrativeand clerical tasks. Representative duties include the following: openscases and reviews initial documents; assists attorneys and the publicat the front counter; collects appropriate fees; makes summaryentries on the docket of all documents and pleadings; manages casesto ensure timely progression; processes case conversions from onechapter to another; prepares and maintains the claims register;prepares and processes notices for mailing; prepares form judgmentsand orders for signature; prepares cases for closing; performs qualitycontrol on electronically-filed pleadings filed by bankruptcypractitioners and pro se litigants.
