Job description

Job Overview: The Senior Construction Loan Administrator works closely with Construction Loan Officers, Credit Administration, Loan Operations, Builders, Borrowers, Title Companies, and Inspectors to facilitate the efficient management of construction loans from loan origination through payoff.

The candidate for this position will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing loan documentation to ensure construction loan requirements are satisfied prior to loan boarding and funding
  • Reviewing and processing construction draw requests in accordance with bank policy and approved budgets
  • Verifying budget line items, available funds, inspection reports and supporting documentation prior to funding requests
  • Coordinating with borrowers, builders, contractors, title companies and inspectors throughout the construction process
  • Assisting management with monthly portfolio reviews and risk monitoring.
  • Supporting internal and external audits, regulatory examinations and compliance reviews.
  • Providing training and guidance to Construction Loan Administrators and support staff.

 Requirements for the position include:

  • Minimum 5+ years of construction loan administration, commercial loan administration, loan operations or related banking experience
  • Strong understanding of construction lending processes, draw administration, inspections, lien waivers, title insurance and loan documentation
  • Strong understanding of loan documentation and collateral requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Occasional travel and ability to work a flexible schedule

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
  • Experience working with residential builders and commercial construction projects
  • Prior experience providing guidance or leadership to staff
