Administrator-in-Training
Location: Flushing, Queens.

The Pavilion at Queens is launching a developmental role designed for individuals interested in building a career in skilled nursing facility leadership. This position begins in a concierge/front-facing capacity and is structured to progressively expand into administrative responsibilities through on-the-job training and direct mentorship from the facility Administrator.

This role offers hands-on exposure to facility operations, leadership functions, and regulatory processes, creating a clear pathway toward future administrative advancement and Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) licensure.

Role Progression & Responsibilities

Concierge & Facility Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, families, and visitors.

  • Support front-desk operations, communication flow, and customer service standards.

  • Assist with administrative tasks and coordination across departments.

Administrative Training & Operational Exposure

  • Train alongside the Administrator to gain insight into daily facility management.

  • Assist department leaders with operational needs and workflow coordination.

  • Learn staffing processes, scheduling support, and employee engagement practices.

  • Support compliance-related tasks, documentation, and regulatory preparation.

  • Participate in resident and family relations alongside leadership.

  • Assist with reports, audits, and performance improvement initiatives.
