Job Description 

We’re looking for an Administrative Nursing Supervisor who can provide leadership and coordination across hospital activities. In the absence of Administration, you’ll be responsible for overseeing hospital operations and addressing problems or issues that may arise in any department when other supervisory personnel are not on the premises.

Patient Care & Treatment 

Provide nursing leadership and oversight with a positive and respectful approach that supports the needs of patients and families and aligns with the hospital’s values. Help ensure hospital activities remain coordinated and that issues requiring supervisory attention are addressed appropriately. 

Collaborative Teamwork 

This role involves working closely with teams throughout the hospital, providing leadership and coordination when Administration or other supervisory personnel are not on the premises. The Administrative Nursing Supervisor provides leadership in a positive direction consistent with the policies, goals, objectives, mission, and vision of the Hospital and Nursing Department. 

Qualifications 

  • Current RN licensure to practice in California 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred 

  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the past 3 years required 

  • Management experience at the Charge Nurse level or higher preferred 

  • BLS certification required and maintained thereafter 

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required and maintained thereafter 

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification required within 3 months and maintained thereafter 

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required within 3 months and maintained thereafter 

  • Cross-trained employees will be exempt from certification requirements and will participate only in activities where competence has been demonstrated 

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language 

  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, and coworkers 

  • Ability to provide leadership in a positive direction that is consistent with the policies, goals, objectives, mission, and vision of the Hospital and Nursing Department
