Administrative Support Team Leader
The Administrative Support Team Leader provides first-line supervision to administrative support staff and oversees the daily operations of the agency's Mail Room and Print Shop. This position plans and assigns work, trains and coaches employees, conducts performance evaluations, participates in hiring, and ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating printing services, overseeing the receipt, processing, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages, maintaining postage and shipping records, receiving and distributing agency supplies, calculating printing and postage charges, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of mail and printed materials while promoting efficient operations and quality customer service. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning, and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of mailroom, printing, shipping, inventory, and general office operations. The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, maintain accurate records, manage workflows, and provide effective customer service. Proficiency with office technology, administrative systems, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
