Job description

The Talent Acquisition team is seeking a detail oriented intern. This position provides a wide range of administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team including participation in I-9 auditing, interview scheduling, pre-employment activities, and onboarding, while helping to create a positive and professional experience for candidates and hiring managers. In this role you will oversee transactions related to the Eversource Talent Acquisition model and maintain accurate records in Workday. This position plays a key role in delivering a best-in-class hiring experience while ensuring compliance, accuracy and service excellence.

The HR Intern will support the Talent Acquisition team at Eversource by assisting with various HR functions and projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a corporate HR environment.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Audit/correct I-9 forms within Workday following established guidelines and compliance requirements and take corrective steps in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain a high volume of cases while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Support the TA team in delivering a best-in-class hiring experience, including coordinating pre-employment drug screens and background checks, administering testing, preparing offer letters, and supporting new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Support HR administrative tasks such as data entry and maintaining employee records.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the TA team.


Job Qualifications:

  • A recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior HR, compliance, or administrative experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); prior Workday experience a plus but not required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
