Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator (Deployed Support Specialist) to support a defense-focused organization providing critical network and communications support for deployed military operations worldwide. This position is on-site in Newport, Rhode Island. The Network Administrator will provide direct network, systems, and deployment support to ensure secure and reliable communications for operational missions. This is an opportunity to play a vital role in supporting mission-critical environments and maintaining the technologies that enable successful global operations. Responsibilities for the Network Administrator include: * Provide network technical guidance during deployment planning and rapidly troubleshoot networking issues during operational execution. * Install, configure, maintain, and support routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS solutions, DNS, Active Directory, Exchange, and related network infrastructure. * Support deployed users by providing hands-on computer and network administration assistance in dynamic operational environments. * Assist with Information Assurance (IA) training initiatives and support compliance with cybersecurity requirements. * Coordinate deployment logistics including hardware/software transportation, documentation, equipment accountability, foreign clearance requirements, and post-deployment reporting. Required Qualifications for the Network Administrator include: * 4+ years of professional experience providing network administration and deployed technical support. * Experience supporting enterprise networking technologies including routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange. * Strong troubleshooting, deployment coordination, and systems administration skills in operational environments. * High School Diploma or GED required. * Active Secret Security Clearance required. * CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent IAT Level II certification) required. * OEM network certification required, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). * Microsoft or Cisco technical certifications preferred. Compensation for the Network Administrator include: * Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 * Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as Required by Law
