Job description

  • Practices in accordance with the regulations of the state.

  • Receives report from the previous shift and Med Aide.

  • Maintains physicians orders in accordance with policy.

  • Communicates appropriately with all care partners and utilizes appropriate communication tools.

  • Completes appropriate documentation each shift.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and universal precautions.

  • Reports deficiencies observed in resident apartments clothing/linen and community to administrator. Completes Incident Report form as needed for any unusual occurrence.

  • Observes and communicates any changes in resident physical or mental status as directed.

  • Is thoroughly familiar with fire, missing persons and other emergency procedures.

  • Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment. Maintains a neat and orderly Medication Room.

  • Maintains resident record for each resident including but not limited to, obtaining current physician orders, clarifying orders, and alert and monthly charting.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Free of non-treated communicable disease.

  2. Holds current CPR/First Aid Certification

Physical Demands:

  1. Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50lbs.

  2. Ability to bend, squat, and climb stairs.

  3. Ability to continuously walk or stand.

Universal Precautions:

  1. Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

  2. Potential exposure to communicable diseases.
