Do you enjoy keeping things organized, juggling details, and keeping an office running smoothly? If you like supporting a team, staying on top of schedules, and working with numbers from time to time, this role blends all of that into a fast-moving, people-focused position.
About KC Mechanical
KC Mechanical is a locally owned Vermont business specializing in the service, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment. We work with restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, and other commercial kitchens across Central and Northern Vermont to keep critical equipment running safely and reliably.
Our technicians service a wide range of hot-side and cold-side equipment, including ovens, ranges, dishwashers, refrigeration, walk-ins, and ice machines. We take pride in doing things the right way, supporting our team, and providing dependable service our customers can count on.

You’ll work closely with a tight-knit admin team to support our field technicians and help keep internal operations organized and accurate.
If you’ve worked in scheduling, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or administrative roles—especially in a construction, maintenance, or service-based business—this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Organize, schedule, and maintain daily technician routes and service calls across Vermont
  • Handle early-morning schedule adjustments and customer communications
  • Assign and adjust jobs based on priority, timing, location, technician skill set, and parts availability
  • Track technician progress throughout the day and adjust schedules as needed
  • Communicate with technicians and customers regarding arrival times, changes, and follow-ups
  • Create dispatch tickets and maintain accurate service records
  • Assist with basic administrative and bookkeeping tasks, including:
    • Invoicing support and customer payment processing
    • Accounts payable and accounts receivable assistance
    • Data entry and record reconciliation
    • Working within QuickBooks to help maintain accurate financial records (experience preferred)
  • Support additional administrative projects as needed (vehicle maintenance tracking, seasonal tire changes, etc.)
You’re a Great Fit If You:
  • Enjoy staying organized and keeping things accurate
  • Can manage changing priorities calmly and efficiently
  • Are comfortable working in a team-based, in-person office environment
  • Have experience with QuickBooks, bookkeeping, or AP/AR functions (preferred, not required)
  • Are confident using computers, spreadsheets, and internal systems
  • Enjoy learning new systems and helping the office run smoothly
Why Work at KC Mechanical?
  • Friendly, supportive, team-oriented office environment
  • Full-time position with benefits, including:
    • Medical, Dental, and HRA
    • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Locally owned, growing Vermont business
  • A team that genuinely supports each other and has your back
