Position Requirements:
Senior Jira SAAS Administrator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Jira SaaS Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Atlassian Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Atlassian Cloud administration. This role will partner with technology and DevSecOps teams to implement scalable solutions, improve workflows, and ensure platform reliability, security, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer and maintain Jira Cloud instance(s) including user management, permissions, and security
• Design, configure, and maintain projects, workflows, screens, issue types, fields, permissions, and notification schemes.
• Install, configure, and maintain Marketplace apps/plugins
• Manage Jira projects, boards (Scrum/Kanban), and dashboards
• Configure and support integration with enterprise applications and third-party tools
• Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies
• Develop and maintain automation rules to improve operational efficiency
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures
• Support migration, enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage user provisioning, access controls, groups, roles, and permissions
• Implement governance, standards, and best practices for Atlassian Cloud platforms
• Provide guidance and training to end users, project teams, and administrators
• Monitor platform health, usage, performance, and licensing
• Ensure compliance with security policies and data governance
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, collaborating with vendors and stakeholders as needed.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on Jira Cloud/SAAS administration experience
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Proficiency with Jira workflows, schemes, and configurations
• Experience with JQL (Jira Query Language)
• Knowledge of Jira permissions and security schemes
• Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace apps
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (ACP-620) or similar certification
• Experience with Jira Service Management
• Background in IT service management or DevOps
Contract Details
• Period of Performance: July-December 2026 (with possible extension)
• Location: On-site at Federal Reserve Board, Washington DC Metro Campus
• Schedule: Monday-Friday during standard business hours
