We are currently seeking a Social Services Assistant for the Twin Oaks Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Mobile, AL. Summary of job duties are to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility and as may be directed by the Facility Administrator, to ensure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis. To assist the Director of Social Services in acting as a liaison and representative of the residents' social interests. If you have a desire to work in a fast-paced geriatric rehabilitation environment, this is the opportunity for you!
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, HealthCare Administration, or a related field, WITH relevant experience in marketing, admissions and discharges
  • Must read, write, speak and understand English
  • Previous experience or completion of appropriate training program
  • Previous SNF or hospital experience preferred
  • Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the elderly
