Work ScheduleMonday - Friday, nights and weekends to commiserate with sports schedules.
Pay Rate $14.00/hour
Minimum Experience/Education - Recent college graduates with a background in broadcasting, communications or sport management. Experience working within an NCAA Division I athletics department
- Understanding of fundamentals of camera and video equipment operation
- Experience with video switching, replay systems, audio equipment and Ross XPression
- Strong and effective interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a professional way
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: - Able to handle several projects at once and meet tight deadlines
- Possession of a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and move heavy camera equipment around
- Ability to learn, contribute and thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
- Interest in learning Adobe Creative Suite or intermediate experience is preferred
- Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business
Duties and Responsibilities - Act as a production assistant on game day
- Assist with the operation of broadcast equipment such as switchers, replay systems, and graphic systems
- Set-up for broadcasts on the ESPN Digital Network
- Help in maintaining production and crew calendar as needed
- Train student operators on camera techniques and broadcast equipment usage
- Assist with creating and implementing graphics content needed to "tell the story" during live events
- Help with the execution of special events related to the Charlotte 49ers Athletics Department
