Summary of Position
The Adjunct Advanced Manufacturing/Robotics Instructor will be responsible forteaching advanced manufacturing and robotic technologies, focusing on industry-relevant skills and knowledge. This role involves providing hands-on training and mentoring students toward success in the courses.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology or a related field required (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
- Relevant industry experience in advanced manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Teaching experience in a higher education setting or vocational training environment is preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Ability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current manufacturing software and tools (e.g.,CAD, SolidWorks, Tensile Test Machine, 3D Printer).
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrate a high level of verbal and writing skills as well as computational skills.
- Meet all regularly scheduled classes on time and for the full class period.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management providing maximum opportunity for student progress.
