POSITIONS PURPOSE
Concordia University Texas is currently searching for an Adjunct (part-time) Math professor to teach on-ground at our main Austin location beginning Fall, 2026.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES amp; PRINCIPLES
  • Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics required.
  • University-level teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supporting diverse student populations required.
  • Teach assigned courses as scheduled and accepted.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and accurate grading using Blackboard Ultra LMS.
  • Complete required trainings and remain current with institutional expectations.
  • Respond consistently and professionally to email communication from administration and students.
  • Love and passion for teaching and engaging diverse student populations required
  • Ability to articulate and model the Concordia University Texas’ mission, vision, and values

About the Course:
Concordia University Texas develops its mathematics courses to develop students' ability to think critically and communicate clearly, both individually and as part of a group. Throughout, students will learn to represent data in multiple ways, ask meaningful questions, and draw connections between mathematical concepts and real-world decision-making. Emphasis is placed on interpreting and analyzing data to understand its relevance in today's world. Students will build a strong foundation in mathematical vocabulary, enabling them to express ideas with precision and clarity in both written and oral formats. By exploring a variety of problem-solving methods, students will gain the confidence and skills needed to tackle practical, real-world challenges using mathematics as a powerful tool.
