Role Overview
Splendid is seeking a strategic, consumer-obsessed, and highly hands-on Senior Director, Brand Marketing to lead the brand's integrated marketing function. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this leader will shape the brand vision while developing and executing marketing strategies that strengthen brand equity, drive customer acquisition and retention, and accelerate growth across wholesale, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels.
This role requires both strategic leadership and a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building long-term brand strategy as they are reviewing creative, launching campaigns, analyzing performance, managing agency partners, and collaborating cross-functionally to bring ideas to life.
The Senior Director will oversee integrated brand marketing across campaign strategy, creative production, influencer marketing, public relations, social media, partnerships, retail marketing, events, and wholesale marketing while partnering closely with E-Commerce, Merchandising, Design, Sales, Planning, Product Development, and Executive Leadership.
Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Marketing Leadership
  • Develop and execute annual marketing strategies that support brand growth, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue objectives.
  • Lead seasonal go-to-market strategies across product launches, collaborations, campaigns, and key wholesale partners.
  • Champion compelling brand storytelling that reinforces Splendid's premium positioning and signature California lifestyle.
  • Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and market share.
  • Ensure consistent brand expression across every customer touchpoint.

Integrated Marketing
  • Lead omnichannel marketing across brand campaigns, digital marketing, CRM (Email & SMS), influencer marketing, PR, organic social media, partnerships, retail marketing, events, experiential activations, and wholesale marketing.
  • Partner closely with the E-Commerce team to drive traffic, conversion, customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.

Campaign Development & Creative Leadership
  • Partner with Creative to develop seasonal campaigns, photography, video, packaging, retail assets, and digital content.
  • Lead campaigns from concept through execution while maintaining premium creative standards.
  • Collaborate with Design and Merchandising to create cohesive seasonal storytelling.

Influencer, Partnerships & PR
  • Lead influencer and creator marketing strategies that drive awareness and measurable business impact.
  • Identify strategic collaborations and partnerships that strengthen brand relevance.
  • Oversee PR strategy, media relationships, and launch communications.

Customer & Business Insights
  • Leverage consumer insights, competitive analysis, and performance analytics to guide strategy.

Financial & Operational Leadership
  • Manage annual marketing budgets and forecasts

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing leadership within fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
  • 'Proven success building integrated marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth.
  • Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer business models and wholesale
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Experience across influencer marketing, social media, PR, brand partnerships, and digital marketing.
  • Strong financial acumen with budget ownership and KPI management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
