Job description

Adecco is assisting a local company add direct hire Material Handler positions to their warehouse team.

In this position, a Material Handler will be responsible to keep the flow of raw materials/packaging materials/pallets/etc. to the plants to prevent running out and maintain the flow of finished goods coming out of the plants.

  • Ensure receiving equipment is in proper working order

  • Ensure daily forklift/pallet jack inspections are complete

  • Keep all work areas clean from debris and report any damage or unsafe conditions

  • Haul WIP and finished product out of the plant

  • Load in/out Topper product

  • Clean, sweep, organize Topper building

  • Wrap pallets

  • Clean and sweep Terminal building

  • Wash outside forklifts on a weekly basis

  • Inventory projects as needed

  • Supply plant with raw materials daily

  • Load inedible combos onto trailer

  • Complete 7 point inspection of any outbound truck

  • Verify identity of driver of any outbound truck with photo ID

  • Seal outbound loads and verify seal number on bill of lading

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Forklift experience preferred

  • CDL Required

  • Follow GMPs at all times

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety policies

  • Notify management immediately of any unsafe situations

  • Follow all Safety Policies

  • Must always follow LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) program

  • Strength Factor Level 5-Exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, an/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly.

  • Ability to walk outdoors in all conditions between buildings

  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, ramps and stairs

  • Ability to safely walk on slick surfaces due to working conditions or weather conditions

Supervision Received

Work is performed with considerable latitude and independence under the general guidance of the Receiving Supervisor.
