Job description

Adecco is assisting a major client in their search for Assembly Specialist’s in Houston, TX. These are contract opportunities, offering weekly pay and a chance to expand your experience.   • Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday (6:00am – 6:30pm)

Job Description:

The primary purpose of the Assembler is the complete assembly or disassembly of gas turbine and compressor packages, related sub-assemblies and related parts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leverage ATS and resume management tools to efficiently screen, track, and hire candidates.

  • Review and interpret complex assembly instructions, specifications, and blueprints.

  • Inventory, clean, stage, and visually inspect components to prepare for assembly.

  • Safely offload and handle parts using proper rigging/lifting equipment.

  • Assemble structural components and associated compressor packages using approved tools and methods.

  • Take precision measurements and adjust to meet required tolerances, document all measurement results.

  • Make part adjustments according to machining techniques required.

  • Identify issues or deviations and notify management or engineering.

  • Perform and document simple maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs according to specifications.

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Assembly of Rotating Equipment in a manufacturing environment

  • Skilled in interpreting technical assembly instructions, building methods, and sequencing of core compressor internals and auxiliaries

  • Ability to inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies for gas turbines and compressor packages

  • Ability to use micrometers, indicators, hand tools, air grinders, and overhead lifting devices

Pay Details: $34.48 per hour
