The Brook is the leader in providing quality mental health and addiction treatment services.  The Brook – Dupont, located in Louisville, KY, is an 88-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adults.

The Registered Nurse (RN) participates in treatment planning as a member of interdisciplinary team; provides assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status; administers medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician; assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations; provide and direct milieu management, and additional tasks as needed.  Best candidates for this position will have behavioral health experience, a strong work-ethic, and highly consistent timeliness and attendance! 

 Job Duties

  • Demonstrates knowledge of legal implications of nursing practice in performance of duties.
  • Delegates tasks, and verifies completion
  • Demonstrates full level of awareness of unit milieu, and provides appropriate guidance to staff
  • Demonstrates ability to establish priorities concerning total unit milieu
  • Serves as primary channel of communication between shifts, for patient care unit, and between departments during designated scheduled shift

Week 2:  3 Orientation Shifts
