DUTY STATEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, will assist in providing residential program services. Will cooperate with other staff personnel in the planning, evaluation, training, and implementation of a process for program efficiency and client care:


Job Functions:

  • Carries a caseload of no more than twelve (12) beneficiaries.
  • Provide and update documentation necessary for the residential program and client purposes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to assess the needs of the beneficiaries.
  • Collaborates with Residential Coordinator on residential program status.
  • Safeguard residents’ and visitors’ welfare always.
  • Facilitate Core Process Group (Clinical) with individual case load.
  • Communicate with outside county representatives.
  • Assess and document care coordination in HER.
  • Coordinate and document individual services.
  • Maintain timely and reliable attendance.
  • Provide quality service to clients as required by Cedar House Life Change Center, State, and County Requirements.
  • Involved in community outreach work, education, and prevention presentations.
  • May be required to attend court with the client.
  • Pursue additional status/level advancement whenever possible.
  • Perform life-saving measures when needed to protect the lives of Cedar House clients and employees.
  • Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS


Experience:

  • Be certified upon hire under an accredited drug and alcohol certification program, CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP (preferred).
  • Be registered upon hire under an accredited drug and alcohol certification program, CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP (required).
  • Have at least 1 year of experience working in a residential setting.

Education:

  • Complete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates.
  • Completed twelve years of education or have a GED.
  • Maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must understand the nature of alcohol/drug addiction and its recovery.
  • Knowledgeable of Confidentiality laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Always enforce all house rules and regulations.
  • Continue to acquire and update the knowledge and skills necessary to address chemical dependency and related counseling issues.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to address stressful situations in a calm manner and be able to communicate in a positive way.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality.

Additionally, the employee may need to work around or be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
