The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a distribution center specialist who thrives with a workforce team.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of an Arizona Correctional Industries (ACI) distribution center. Supervises, when necessary. Ensures the accuracy of all incoming or outgoing products or materials.

Inventory management of raw and finished goods and all operational support equipment. Communicates accurate data, both verbal and written, on the status of operations as required by management. Controls and maintains all safety regulations and quality assurance programs.

Enforces daily sanitation and security practices in accordance with ADCRR policies, procedures, and best practices. For further information about the Arizona Correctional Industries visit: https://aci.az.gov/ Job Duties: * Works with the supervisor in setting up daily work assignments and other daily distribution activities * Maintains training records for all workforce participants * Supervises the assigned workforce * Provides hands-on training for workforce participants on the ERP system, clerical work, reports, and various inventory processes and methods * Provides oversight for the auditing, document accuracy, and entering of data in the ERP system * Audits all incoming and outgoing products or materials to ensure they match the provided documents * Provides security by closely monitoring workforce participant activities * Ensures the safe operation of machinery utilized in the distribution center and surrounding areas * Reviews inmate hours and pay in ACIS for accuracy, makes any necessary changes * Ensures all workforce participants are paid on time and correctly * Attends staff trainings * Drives on State business * Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of: * Various management techniques for the assigned inmate workforce * Inventory control methods and techniques * Equipment and materials utilized in the operations of a distribution center * Divisional and Departmental policies and procedures, including fire and safety standards and regulations * Security requirements and practices Skill in: * Directing, supervising, and evaluating inmate worker activities * The operational activities related to a distribution center, including the operations and maintenance of equipment and machinery utilized * Written and verbal communication * Computer applications Ability to: * Lift/Carry approximately 20 lbs. * Push/pull approximately 20 lbs. * Walk/run approximately .25 miles * Interpret ADCRR policy and procedures * Supervise an inmate workforce * Communicate verbally and in writing * Operate a computer relating to the ERP system, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office * Work in a correctional environment Selective Preference(s): * At least three (3) years of experience working in a fast-paced distribution center environment * Vocational courses at a post-secondary level in a related field with supervisory seminars and training Pre-Employment Requirements: Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation, drug test, and possibly a medical/physical examination. If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended.

Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11). In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter. All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
