The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Security Systems Engineering (AS2E) team provides operational support for security services in US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Regions.

The team is focused on doing more with less by improving operational health and reducing manual toil for these security services. The team delivers on high-impact, high-visibility projects, and you have the opportunity to join us!
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Key job responsibilities
The AS2E organization offers engineers a unique ability to have significant impact in ADC regions, to advance their careers, and to collaborate across AWS on challenging business problems

You will have the opportunity to automate repetitive tasks, influence partner teams, impact team goals, optimize team processes, provide technical decision making, and independently resolve complex problems. Members of AS2E are held to a high bar, and are routinely asked to make clarity out of ambiguity.
Day-to-day tasking includes:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues (Typescript, Python, Bash, Ruby, and other languages)
- Developing tools, automation and monitoring solutions to reduce manual toil and improve operational excellence
- Designing new systems, reviewing others' code, performing design reviews, and contributing to org-wide initiatives to improve the builder experience
