Job Description

As The Head of Technology and Development for ADAS in North America, you will lead the technical vision, strategy, and execution for our global advanced driver assistance systems development and deployment. This includes driving innovation, overseeing a high-performing engineering team, and collaborating closely with global counterparts to deliver cutting-edge L2+ and L3 ADAS solutions. While your primary focus is on the overall functional ADAS technology roadmap, you will also play a crucial role in defining the ADAS development and delivery ecosystem that enables our success.  This involves defining, delivering and managing a global, multi-project capable data-driven platform for training, testing, and deploying AI models focused ADAS systems to our customers. 

 Responsibilities 

  • Lead ADAS Technology Strategy: Define and execute the North American ADAS technology roadmap, aligned with global Bosch strategy and customer needs. This includes ownership of the architectural vision, technology selection, and development processes. 
  • Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and explore emerging technologies to maintain Bosch's leadership in the ADAS space. Identify and evaluate new concepts, algorithms, and hardware to enhance our ADAS offerings. 
  • Build and Manage High-Performing Teams: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of highly skilled engineers, fostering collaboration and individual growth. This includes resource allocation, performance management, and talent acquisition. 
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with global ADAS teams, including engineering, product management, and research, to ensure alignment and leverage synergies across regions. 
  • AI Development Ecosystem Ownership: 
    • Build and lead a global team of key stakeholders & contributors to define the data lifecycle and business processes for continuously developing and deploying ML-based ADAS systems globally 
    • Oversee the design and evolution of the ADAS system delivery ecosystem, encompassing data acquisition, processing, model training, testing, validation, and deployment. 
    • Ensure seamless integration of AI models into the broader ADAS software architecture and contribute to the overall platform strategy. 
    • Champion and implement modern software development and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Agile, Domain and Data Driven Design) within the continuous multi-customer development lifecycle. 
    • Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI/ML and adapt the ecosystem accordingly. 
  • Customer Engagement & Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners in the automotive industry to understand their needs and shape future product development.  
     
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Last 5 years of proven track record leading complex software projects from concept to production in the ADAS domain. 
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 
  • Experience with data lifecycle management, including data acquisition, processing, and storage. 
  • Proficient in C++, Python, and other relevant programming languages. 
  • Experience with ADAS system architecture and development, specifically for L2+ and L3 autonomy. 
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders. 
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on embedded systems, automotive, or robotics. Significant experience in data-driven software development, including ML/AI.
  • Proven leadership skills of large heterogeneous and global project teams including engineers, product and project managers as well as financial staff, e.g. controlling. 
  • Comfortable in interacting with C-Suite management to develop overall vision and its implementation  
  • Knowledge regarding the technology enabling automated driving and the automotive industry in general.
  • Able to quickly adapt to new business challenges and translate them into new cloud based architecture solutions catering to a global multi-customer landscape.
Additional Information

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $290,000 - $400,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. This range does not include annual bonus percentage nor any other monetary considerations for the total compensation package.
