Position Summary
Sells merchandise and assists members in the major appliance, electronics, one-day photo processing areas of the sales floor. Answers member questions, demonstrates merchandise. Stocks and maintains good condition of department products. Provides a high level of member service.
Job Duties
  • Stocks product consisting of moving, retrieving, and breaking down merchandise. Sets up, faces, and mounts product displays.
  • Tends to the sales floor consisting of cleaning displays, steel frames, jewelry casings, appliances, and electronics by sweeping, dusting, and applying glass cleaner. Provides member services by answering questions, demonstrating product, and loading merchandise into carts or flatbeds.
  • Checks and approves products for member return. Contacts a store manager to check and inspect diamonds at the return counter.
  • Communicates with Supervisor regarding quantity, status, price, delivery, signage, marketing, and promotion of merchandise.
  • Blocks off areas with cones to create a fall danger zone when forklifts retrieve merchandise from high levels.
  • Maintains and tests knowledge of technology using Cyberscholar and reading literature. Experiments with products to learn functions and specifications.
  • Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
  • Assists with department duties as necessary.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
