What You’ll Do

As a Copier Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining advanced office technology solutions in a designated service area. You will provide hands-on technical support while building strong relationships with customers, ensuring their equipment runs at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with digital networked copiers, scanners, printers, wide-format devices, and fax machines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs on color and black-and-white office equipment.
  • Utilize company systems to manage service call tickets, update part usage, and document repairs efficiently.
  • Adhere to proper troubleshooting procedures, including firmware updates, part replacement, and maintenance intervals.
  • Use software on a company-issued mobile device to receive and close repair tickets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, offering clear and professional updates on repair status.
  • Maintain a well-stocked service vehicle with the necessary tools, parts, and inventory.
  • Stay current on new and legacy equipment enhancements through tech manuals, online learning, and manufacturer training resources.
What You Bring to the Team
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing copier equipment. (Sharp brand copier equipment repair is appreciated, but we highly value relevant experience and the aptitude to learn).
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with a passion for problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while staying connected to the larger support team.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Familiarity with networking and internet protocols is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record – You'll be servicing customers onsite.
  • A degree from a technical or vocational school is a plus but not required.
