We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our Live Broadcast Operations team based in Denver, CO.
In this role, you will serve as a key technical resource supporting the design, integration, and operation of live broadcast workflows across Prime Video's live sports and linear channel portfolio. You will work at the intersection of broadcast engineering and cloud-based media technology, partnering closely with internal engineering teams, external broadcasters, and technology vendors to ensure best-in-class live video delivery at scale.
This is a hands-on technical role embedded within our Denver Master Control Room (MCR) environment, with direct influence over the infrastructure and workflows that power some of the most-watched live sports content in the world.
Key job responsibilities
• Serve as the primary on-site technical resource in Denver, supporting live events across NBA, MLB, TNF, and other Tier 1 and Tier 3 properties
• Partner with AWS, Prime Video engineering, and external broadcast technology vendors to architect scalable cloud and hybrid broadcast solutions
• Define and maintain technical specifications and integration standards for live content workflows
• Troubleshoot complex live transmission issues in real time with zero tolerance for failure
• Drive adoption of advanced broadcast technologies including UHD, HDR, live ad insertion, and SCTE standards
About the team
Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports - including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- 5+ years experience at a TV network, broadcaster, or internet streaming platform specializing in live video transmission, processing, and delivery
- Hands-on experience with broadcast and streaming media standards (SCTE, SMPTE, HLS, DASH, etc.)
- Experience supporting live PCR and MCR operations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting live sports in an MCR/TOC live environment
- Experience in cloud-based live video workflow design and implementation (AWS Media Services preferred)
- Deep expertise in live ad insertion technologies and workflows
- Experience with HDR video production and streaming
- Prior participation in industry standards groups (SCTE, SMPTE, DASH-IF, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with signal routing, satellite uplink/downlink, and fiber-based content delivery
- Experience operating in a 24/7 live broadcast environment with direct on-call responsibilities

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
