What does an acupuncturist assistant do?

An Acupuncturist Assistant supports licensed acupuncturists in their daily tasks, such as preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting with patient intake and charting. To thrive as an Acupuncturist Assistant, you need a basic understanding of acupuncture principles, familiarity with anatomy, and often a certification in medical assisting or a related field. Experience with scheduling software, basic medical record systems, and sterilization equipment is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality make someone stand out in this role. These skills ensure efficient clinic operations, safe patient care, and a supportive environment for both practitioners and clients.
