Job description

Job Overview

New grads welcome!

Tuesday: 8am-5pm

Thursday: 8am-5pm

Friday: 8am-5pm

ARC is seeking a motivated acupuncturist to perform all treatments and services in accordance with the State of Florida acupuncture licensing requirements. The licensed acupuncturist will provide acupuncture to patients, the public, caregivers, and staff during business hours of the integrative medicine space.

Duties include but are not limited to the following: review of medical record, health maintenance, illness, injury, and diagnosis as reported; and obtaining informed consent from patient.

Qualifications:

- Graduate of an approved school of Oriental Medicine and/or Traditional Chinese Medicine accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) with a minimum of one thousand eight hundred fifty hours of training or a licensed physician trained in acupuncture.

- Active status preferred as a Diplomate in Acupuncture of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Complete at least fifteen hours of board-approved continuing education (CE) each year.

- Minimum of three years' experience in providing acupuncture services to the public.

- Beginning July 1, 2016, has submitted a full set of fingerprints to the board for the purpose of obtaining a state and federal criminal record check.

- Additional qualifications Hand hygiene; acupuncture and Oriental medicine, including traditional Chinese, Japanese, Five Element, Korean, and Vietnamese traditions; clean needle technique, including counting needles; needling approach, including explanation of points used; and discussion of plan of care, recommendations, and/or resources. License or certification Active license to practice in the state of Florida.

- Successful completion of an NCCAOM clean needle technique course in addition to the infection control education required of all members of the medical staff. Exemption status: non-exempt Compensation Detail Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
