Inventory Associate- Murfreesboro, TN:
The Inventory Associate performs inventory control and stockroom functions for explosives, drilling accessories, general consumables, and operational supplies. This position receives, verifies, issues, stocks, counts, and records materials; supports safe and compliant storage; and operates material-handling and drill-bit sharpening equipment as assigned. This position reports to the Operations Manager and coordinates closely with the Purchasing Manager and site operations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Performs daily inventory counts for explosives, drilling accessories, consumables, and other assigned materials.
• Processes Pick Tickets and inventory transactions in AIMS and Acumatica WMS, ensuring incoming and outgoing quantities, product descriptions, sizes, date codes, and job numbers are accurate.
• Receives materials and verifies quantities against bills of lading, purchase orders, and system documents; unpacks, inspects, labels, stocks, and reports shortages, damage, or discrepancies.
• Issues and disperses supplies in accordance with Company policies and procedures and maintains adequate assigned inventory levels.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies, replenishment needs, and stock recommendations to the Operations Manager, Purchasing Manager, and other appropriate personnel.
• Loads, unloads, moves, and restocks explosives products, drilling accessories, and supplies using forklifts, skid steers, or other approved material-handling equipment.
• Maintains stockrooms and storage magazines in a clean, orderly, and logically arranged condition and supports compliance with applicable safety and security standards.
• Sets up and safely operates the drill-bit sharpening machine; evaluates returned bits, follows work-order priorities, sharpens or identifies items for disposal, and completes required preventive maintenance.
• Maintains accurate inventory logs, records, and supporting documentation and performs routine computer work including data entry, email, virtual calls, and spreadsheet use.
• Manages multiple priorities, identifies practical solutions to inventory issues, attends required meetings and training, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced operating environment.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of internal and external contacts.
• Working knowledge of inventory systems, databases, email, and Microsoft applications, including spreadsheets; experience with Acumatica WMS or AIMS preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, skid steer, drill-bit sharpening machine, and related material-handling equipment, or successfully complete required training.
• General knowledge of explosives products, drilling accessories, stock supplies, or related industry materials preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to work overtime, early starts, or adjusted schedules as operational and customer needs require.
Education & Experience
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of inventory control, stockroom, warehouse, or related operational experience preferred.
• Forklift and skid steer certification required or must be obtained through Company-provided training.
• Valid state driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and ability to meet Company Standard MVR requirements required.
• Must successfully complete required pre-employment physical examination and drug/alcohol testing.
• Must successfully complete the required ATF criminal background check.
Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, with stooping and bending approximately 30 to 40 percent of the time.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift and move items weighing 40 to 50 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs and enter trucks or trailers and, when required, work on top of a truck approximately 10 to 13 feet above the ground.
• Ability to tolerate excess noise and strenuous working conditions while safely performing assigned duties.
Work Environment
• Work is performed in stockroom, magazine, warehouse, office, yard, and outdoor environments, including uneven and loose surfaces and varying weather conditions.
• The position may work around explosives products, material-handling equipment, commercial vehicles, and drill-bit sharpening equipment and must follow applicable safety and security requirements.
• Regular coordination with the Operations Manager, Purchasing Manager, site personnel, drivers, and other internal teams is required.
Travel
• Limited out-of-town or out-of-state travel may be required, including occasional single overnight stays.
• Hotel and meal expenses are provided when overnight travel is required in accordance with Company policy.
