Hospitalist – Eugene/Springfield, OR 

PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is seeking a Hospitalist to join our collaborative and well-established team in the Eugene/Springfield community. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, state-of-the-art regional medical center with a strong culture of teamwork, support, and clinical excellence. 

Position Highlights:

  •  Full-time Hospitalist position with flexible block scheduling 
  • Manageable census – capped at 18 patients 
  • Work within a unit-based, interdisciplinary care model focused on quality and patient outcomes 
  • Closed ICU model 
  • Practice at a Level II Trauma Center with high acuity and diverse pathology 
  • Robust Hospitalist team (~55–60 providers) with dedicated nocturnists (shift differential included) 
  • Supportive environment with strong retention and collegial culture 
  • Teaching opportunities with medical students (OHSU affiliation) 
  • Clinical Environment & Support 

Approximately 400 beds plus observation unit, with planned expansion 

Dedicated Code Blue and Rapid Response teams (Hospitalists participate but do not lead codes) 

Procedures are generally not required 

Collaborative care with palliative care, specialty services, and advanced practice clinicians 

Team-based environment known for strong peer support and work-life balance 

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • First-year salary guarantee: $383,848.70

Requirements: 

  • MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) 
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency 
  • Minimum 2+ years of hospitalist experience in a high-volume setting preferred 
  • Board certified or board eligible 
  • Oregon license or ability to obtainBLS required
